Useful Keyboard Shortcuts

Hey guys! Today we are sharing a very useful list of keyboard shortcuts for your PC. These shortcuts will help you save time and make life much easier, in a tech sense at least. We start off with the basics and move on to more specific shortcuts further in the post, enjoy.

Delete (Delete)

CTRL+A ( This option will select all)

CTRL+X (Cut)

CTRL+V (Paste)

CTRL+C (Copy)

CTRL+Z (Undo)

CTRL=Y ( This will redo the last action you performed)

Shift+Delete (You will delete the item without needed to place it in the recycle bin on your computer)

CTRL whilst pulling item (You will copy the chosen item)

CTRL+Shift and drag (Generate a shortcut to your chosen item)

F2 key (Selected item may be renamed)

CTRL+RIGHT ARROW (Change the placement point to the start of the following word)

CTRL+LEFT ARROW (Change theplacement point to the start of the last word)

CTRL+DOWN ARROW (Change the placement point to the start of the next paragraph)

CTRL+UP ARROW (Move the placement point to the beginning of the previous paragraph)

CTRL+Shift with the arrow keys (Use these to highlight text)

Shift with any of the arrow keys (select multiple items on your computer desktop, or even select text within in a document)

CTRL+A (This is the select all option)

F3 key (Allows you to search for items, like folders or files)

Alt+Enter (This allows you to view the properties of an item you chose)

Alt+F4 (End an active task or even close a window with this shortcut)

Alt+Spacebar (This opens a menu of various shortcuts for the item you have open)

Alt+Tab (Allows you to navigate through items which are opened)

Alt+ESC (Move through items in the sequence in which they were opened)

F6 key (Scroll through the items on your desktop and open items on your pc)

Alt+Spacebar (This will open the menu for the current program or open window)

CTRL+ESC (This will send you to the start menu)

F10 key (Open project menu)

RIGHT ARROW (Move to the right)

LEFT ARROW (Move to the left)

F5 key (Refresh)

ESC (This will stop the task you are working on)

Shift during the insertion of a disk into the CD-ROM drive (Doing this will stop the DVD or CD from automatically starting to play)

 

Dialog Box Keyboard Shortcuts

 

CTRL+Tab (Course ahead throughout the tabs)

CTRL+Shift+Tab (Movein reverse order throughout the tabs)

Tab (Move ahead through available options)

Shift+Tab (Move in reverse order throughout the options)

Enter (Execute the command for the current activity option)

F1 key (Help)

Win (Display or remove the start menu)

Win+BREAK (Display the System Properties dialog box)

Win+D (Show desktop)

Win+M (All windows will be minimized)

Win+Shift+M (This is used to revive the minimized windows)

Win+E (This will open the main computer folder ”This PC”)

Win+F (This opens the search bar, allowing you to find various documents in the entire computer)

CTRL+Win+F (Multiple computer search)

Win+ L (This shortcut will lock your keyboard)

Win+R  (The Run dialog box will open if you use this shortcut)

Win+U (This is the shortcut to open the Utility Manager)

RIGHT ARROW (Move to start of the next line)

LEFT ARROW (Move to the last line)

UP ARROW (Move one row up)

DOWN ARROW (Move one row down)

PAGE UP (Navigate one page upwards)

PAGE DOWN (Navigate downwards on page)

HOME (Move to the start of the specified line)

END (Navigate to the end of the specified line)

CTRL+HOME (Move to the starting character)

CTRL+END (Move to the finishing character)

CTRL+O (Pushing this will open a console which is saved)

CTRL+N (Tis shortcut will open a console)

CTRL+S (Save)

CTRL+W (Close an open item)

Alt+A (This will open the Action menu)

Alt+F ( This will open and showcase the File menu)

Alt+Tab  (This will open a small scrollable window display to show open items)
